Perennials for CutflowersPerennial Plant Specials:We will have several Bare-root specials throughout the summer. These are plants from our field and garden we are dividing and moving about. Bare-root plants are much bigger than the standard gallon pot. With alittle care they will take off any part of the growing season. Please watch our blog http://shady-grove-gardens.blogspot.com/or Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Zionville-NC/Shady-Grove-Gardens-Nursery/6... for these specials. We'll post photos and availability dates with prices. Iris CampanulaBellflowers are a large family of garden worthy plants and provide the blue shades that are often so rare. We currently grow Serbian Bellflower an excellent ground cover with a long bloom period in light shade. CheloneTurtleheads are captivating late bloomers that like many native plants are not often seen in gardens. They are not at all weedy and carry their pink or white blooms over attractive, glossy foliage. Both the white and pink species provide habitat for for several native butterflies including the rare Baltimore Checkerspot. Lady's MantleThis low growing plant is especially easy to grow. It thrives in sun or shade with a little extra water during dry periods and will increase over time to form large mats. In spring sprays if chartreuse flowers will set off arrangements of brighter blooms. Sedum Allium Aster |
