Annuals for Cutflowers
The term annual plant is used to describe any plant that will not survive a temperate winter. Many are actually perennials in warmer climates but mature quickly enough to produce a wealth of blooms in a single season. Others are true annuals, these exist only to bloom and produce seeds as quickly as possible to guarantee the next generation. Both types produce more blooms with frequent deadheading, as a result they are made to order for a cutting garden. Many annual plants can be started from seed sewn directly in the garden. This allows gardeners to choose from varieties developed for cut flower production in addition to bedding varieties commonly offered at garden centers. Cosmos
